I always forget to take my insulin, but my glucose is at good levels (110) in the morning. Is it a bad thing that i skip my injects?

I forgot to mention I passed out 2 times while on Lantus (my inject). I am not negligent about my health, I just fall asleep before I take my inject.

Eventually it will have an adverse impact on your general health...you know the dangers. My dad was a diabetic and I learn a lot so I could understand and help as needed.

My suggestion? If you find yourself missing your shot due to falling a sleep... BUY AN ALARM CLOCK. Really, set the time to go off every day you need to take your injection. If you are away from home a lot...buy a portable alarm clock.

You should ask your doctor about the pill called "ACTOSE" It works for me and if your sugar is in the low 100's you may be able to take 1 tablet a day and no more injections!!! :O)

you need to check your capillary glucose reading before you decide if you need the insulin or not. If you let your sugars get out of control, it could kill you, lead to amputations of your toes, feet and legs, require dialysis, all the other complications of diabetes, so please dont risk it! The potential problems are just too great!

The short answer is no. The long answer is yes. You're gonna screw your body up doing that. I don't know how long you've been diabetic, but you aren't informed properly and you're being ignorant with your health.
