Is a very nice 1995 z28 camaro with no problems but needs a transmission with 160,000 miles a good trade for a 1992 BMW 325i with 160,000 miles?

I would say yes, but no. I had a 1992 325i, and a 1994 325i and had BIG time problems with the electrical, and automatic transmissions. But I loved to roll In It givin the space you have and just pain simple the ride Itself. The Chevrolet Is VERY stuffy and small Inside on-top of the never ending dash-board and tiny foot space In the rear. The good side of the Z28 Is the the "Go Straight" power over the BMW. Also a hard motor to work on. Just because Its American made doesn't mean It easy to work on. My advise Is to keep the BMW. Once you get the camaro, you won't be trading that car to nobody. The BMW-Always. Good luck.

First who is trading what? If you have the Camaro and are trading for the BMW then read on, if not keep the BMW! Even with the 3 year difference (& if the BMW is in good shape - exterior & interior) the BMW is worth more money then your Camaro. Have an import repair shop do a pre-purchase inspection on the BMW to make sure you are not biting off more then you can chew.

What is wrong with you..why would you want to trade a running car to a car that's not even moving? Anything over 100K mi can not have a problem, wake up dude? the Camaro already had a problem....dead trans!

I agree, it depends on which one..personally I would pick the Camaro because I could do alot of things with it...Ligenfelter or SLP mechanics with Vette aftermarket parts...supercharger .. dual exhausts..BMW is cool ...especially the 3 series but everyone has one.

Once you put a cage in it you have lost all the versatility of the interior. If you don't plan on building a 10 second drag car then forget about it. Install sub-frame connectors if you want to stiffen the chassis.

I would prefer a camero, as repairs on it will be cheaper as they made a lot more of them and its a american made car.
