I don't get a period on my own without the birth control pill. My doctor told me that as long as I can get a period, I can get pregnant but I honestly don't think I ovulate. My pituitary gland doesn't function on it's own, hence why I need the pill to have a regular monthly cycle. If I were to go to a clinic, what type of test would they give me to determine if I will need fertility drugs in order to get pregnant? Also, would this testing be free or would there be a cost? I have no health insurance as of right now. Any serious input is appreciated, especially from those of you who have had experience with fertility drugs.

I too would recommend you start charting your basal body temp. I personally use the Fertility Awareness Method, which you not only check your morning temp, but also your cervical fluid and cervical position. While the basal body temp is helpful, it only tells you that you've ovulated after the fact. The type of cervical fluid, and position can be an indication of impending ovulation. The most imporant thing is to first determine if you are ovulating, you can do this by taking a few blood tests on aprox day 23 of cycle, or by the doc giving you and ultrasound of your ovaries. However, both of these do cost money, and since you have no health insurance I would first recommend trying to determine this on your own. Plus, then you can take your chart to the doctor with you and it will be a diagnostic tool they can use as well. Try charting for maybe 2 cycles. A great resource to the Fertility Awareness method is a book by Toni Weschler, Taking Charge of Your Fertility. I would highly recommend this book to anyone who wants to know about their fertility status, or trying to conceive, even if already being seen by a physician.

First of all, permit's outline what an abortion is. The first-rate definition I've observed to this point is "the termination of a being pregnant." Technically miscarriages are spontaneous abortions, so this covers our bases. Keep that definition in brain. There are 2 matters Plan B does: a million. Delays the discharge of a lady's egg. two. If the egg is already published, makes the union of sperm and egg extra tricky, through thickening cervical mucous. Plan B has no end result, whether or not well or unhealthy, on an already-situated being pregnant. If the egg is implanted, then taking Plan B is rather like taking a sugar tablet. There were huge checks performed in this, so do not feel ladies who say "it kills the being pregnant"! It does no longer. Pregnancy is outlined as "the interval from notion to beginning whilst a lady consists of a establishing fetus in her uterus." Note that notion has simplest happened whilst a fertilized egg has implanted within the partitions of the uterus. Anyone who attempts to let you know or else is both dull or ignorant. After all, do we are saying that a girl who is going in for in vitro fertilization is pregnant if her eggs do not implant? No, we do not. Because she is not. So, they name it the abortion tablet considering that they're ignorant. There isn't any different clarification, frankly. Sorry, women. I'm definite you are amazing ladies, however if you happen to feel Plan B is an abortion then you definately must cross train yourselves.

I also suffer from irregular period. To have a period, I should also drink bc pills. Do they tell you if you have Polycystic ovaries? coz i do have that disorder so that is the reason why i undergo these lab works.

if your planning to get pregnant, doctors may order you to undergo series of lab works like your blood ( to test for normal values of FSH->follicle stimulating hormone, LH->lieutenizing hormone, thyroid hormone-> these are the examples of important hormone they will going to test. X-ray of your genital tract, hysterosalphingoram-> this is where they will going to inject a dye in your fallopian tube via a catheter line to see if you have any blockage in your tubes. laparoscopy wherein they will going to have an incision thru ur abdomen (a very small incision) and insert a very thin rod to check your uterus. First line of fertility drug they will going to prescribed you is the most common drug which is the clomid. if this will not work for you, they will going to prescribed you other meds like pergonal to name a few.

The best thing for yoo to do first is start charting your basal body temperature. It's fairly easy, and should let you know whether or not you're ovulating. Google it to get more info.
