Really decent liqueur served in really good glassware. Excellent well thought out food that shows you are gratified by their gifts and their presence at this important part of your life. You and your bridal party can made little gifts of sachet or tea or soap or some such. Consult the current bridal magazines for tips.
Unless pressed by tradition or near relations try to avoid "naughty shower games". They tend to embarrasss the senior ladies and bore the hip younger attendees. Remember that it is likely that you will have guests who you don't know well and you will want to avoid alienating them with a too informal atmosphere as if it were just your immediate circle. Besides it will likely embarras your mother. If this is a modern shower and men are invited, those sorts of ritual games are really lame. Coy snickering about virginal bridal sex seems to to have little place in modern life.

If you're good in baking, you could give your self made cookies, brownies or tart. Small figurines. A cross-stitched name of you and your husband to be, then you put it on a small picture frame with a little thank you note.

Congratulations on your upcoming wedding.
Are these girlfriends closest friends? Long long friends? What???
What is your budget for each person?
Inexpensive chocs will be nice with a small note of thanks to each of them. Personalized gloves for them? Silk hankies? silk handheld fans with their names on it?
Visit those flea markets darling....
