As though the questioner made a mistake. What if the questioner did accidentally place a question in the "wrong" category, so what? If that upsets certain individuals, they can ignore the question and move on. Categories are suggested by Yahoo Answers, not required. I place my questions in the category which will draw the most responses and that is usually Polls & Surveys. I took a poll recently and found that MOST respondents spend the majority (if not all )of their time in Polls & Surveys. Besides, there isn't one question that can be asked which can't be included in a poll or survey.

There are some questions that will get a better answer if asked in a certain category. If you have a medical question and you place it in the health category you have a chance of it being answered by a health professional who is an expert on the subject. Not someone who is just giving their opinion.
