my computer won't recognise my headset when i plug it into my front port on my pc.
i have used it before and it is hooked up to my motherboard
can you help?

There is a setting in your sound card software to automatically detect a mic or headset plugged into the front port.

You may have turned it off by mistake ... check it & verify.

it does not need to recognize it. Go to our volume settings, double click and turn up your mic volume. Maybe you are plugging it into the wrong plug.

One thing, is to go to the tool bar and see if you have a gray icon, shaped like a loud speaker. Left click it and see if you accidentally muted it, and adjust the volume.
