no,not very likely, maybe raoul will make some
efford in modernising the country.
the regime is firm in the saddle, fidels dead will not chance that.
raoul was not a big supporter of human rights,to put it mildly. (things will chance for the better)
cuba is,dispite the usa effords not a isolated country, with a large tourist industrie, close
relations with some latin american countries.
venezuela ect, the europeans are doing there best to help out,and increasing cuban-far east
relations.
its not all bad in cuba, there is a good national health program, and they are able to protect the
population against hurricanes.
not expecting anything from bush, but bush will be history in 2 years, than hillary clinton will be
wise enough to open a new dialog with the cubans
and lift this( not working) ban on trading.

The Cubans resent Castro, I don't now how easily they'll let his brother in. I'm not convinced there will be violent revolution. They may be some problems with Cubna exiles get into conflicts with current Cuban nationals but I don't see it get ugly.

I've been to Cuba, and most Cubans are happy with their lives.

Many remember the days before Castro.

Well I don't think so but it could be that they have many rebels when the enemy of America goes there for a base. Like wonder if they sell out to the governing forces of these terrorists with another world leading country behind the scenes then we are in deep do do , 50 miles off our coast eh? Well dig in buddy.

Hopefully the American influence on the culture of Cuba will be so strong as to lead those impoverished people out of the failed ideology of communism and into a successful world of capitalism

There's a great possibility. But the current government has pursued a great patriotism in its population, and they are defiant - if there is a quick change, it will be bloodthirsty
