I went to a movie recently and was bombarded with 20 minutes worth of commercials before it began. I don't mind previews, but Coke? cars? Skittles? Fruitopia? I came to the movies so I could avoid this crap.

i hate that too..

it started about 5 years ago.. they started adding in coke comericials (the one with the polar bears).. then came cars and tv comericals.

its gotten where you spend 20 or so minutes before the previews start (usauly beforte the 10 min timer of previews) of just comericaals and interviews.. then 10 or so of previews and maybe more comericials.

I wish they would stop it.

Dear Your Highness Mr. Tut,
You can avoid it by paying the theatre or the movie studios an amount equal to what they generate with those ads, or more simply by showing up 20 minutes after the scheduled showtime.

Sure you can. But are you willing to pay a higher price for the movie tickets since they can't earn it from the advertisers?

This is how its going to be, its only going to get worse. Did you notice all the product placement in the movie?
