Excellent question, jackasses like Joe Lieberman and Hillary Clinton are worried about content in Video Games, but yet crackheads are getting pregnant everyday, F that, every second, just because they need a fix, but you won't see them neutering drug addicts. It's despicable. I know a judge who tried telling a redneck deadbeat father who had a mullet a horse would envy, that he could not reproduce anymore, but then the worst organization in America, the ACLU, stepped in and ruined a brilliant idea by the one judge I know of in this country that isn't afraid to deal out a real punishment.
The fact of the matter is, organizations like the ACLU will continue to foster all of the morons in this country making more morons, and we will all have to pay for them.
People should have to take an IQ and common sense test before procreating, I think.

Gosh! This is a question I had in my mind for so long! I keep askin my mom the exact question!
Not everybody can drive, not everybody can have a B.S degree in math, not everybody can be everything....
But anyone who wants to can be a parent! Doesn't make sense, since it's supposed to be the hardest job, and any mistake you do in raising the child could affect the future generation. You might as well be raising a criminal and you don't know it...
Wish I had an answer to that, though..

Well, they give out licenses to marry & still close to 50% of each marriage ends in divorce. Actually, the government can't legislate reproductive rights & believe me, they've tried. Several cases have gotten to the Supreme Court, but that's just not an area they can touch. Good question, tho.

If Unicef and Unesco are serious about poverty, they should start offering packages of goodies (education, food, clothes, travel, phone-time, net-ready PC's etc) to poor kids who agree to tubal ligotomies and vasectomies. They continue to get the benefits till they finish a bachelor's degree and work a year.
Then the procedure is reversed, knowing what they know, if they still want kids, they're free to go for it.

I think it has something to do with how easy it is to get pregnant or to impregnate someone and the fact that humankind has been doing it since the "dawn of mankind" so to speak. Old habits die hard.
