does it make u feel better about yourself? do u think that anything negative u say will make them think twice about being gay?

to those of u who have a certain sexuality, how does it make u feel when someone tells u that u will burn in hell if u choose to be gay?

People tend to pick on anyone who is different. Parents who have disabled children constantly live with ignorant, stupid people who call their children cruel names. (And those who don't say it, talk about them behind their backs)..

A person's sexuality to me is really their own business. Most men tend to be extremely wary of gay men as though they will be the target of an attempt at sex. (A gay friend would at this point add, "I'm sorry, I have taste").. Hahah

I don't think people make gay comments because they want them to change. Gays just make them feel very insecure and they need to build a wall (of verbal abuse perhaps) to feel safer.

And the person telling the gay that he'd burn in hell (if we assume he is the voice of God) could also be a racist, a wife beater, etc etc.. so they'd all probably see each other in hell anyway..

Why worry about what other people do with their own lives if they not hurting anybody (or you)? We can only be responsible for ourselves and what we do with our own lives.

I don't think that everybody does. Certainly some groups have been trained to believe that anything other than their life style is evil and will cause damnation. They appear to feel not only people of different sexuality but also of different religions or even different sects within the same religion are going to hell.
Some people fear things they do not understand and do not want to understand differences in orientation as if it were contagious. Maybe as a defense they wish to label these things as bad without understanding in order to justify their own ignorance.
Personally I am glad that the world contains so much diversity. If everybody were the same as me life would only be talking to yourself and self abuse.

unfortunate but true.... Really depends on their perception of the gay world..... however us gays may also reconsider their integrity by not allowing us to be an active part in their lives....

I had a similiar confrontation yesterday when I was with a client and he admitted that he dosen't like his neighbors cos they are gay.... I don't look gay however I looked at him in the eye and thats alitttle unfortunate because I am gay..... I've never seen someone backpeddle so quick.. .

People often try to judge others to make themselves look better in their own eyes.
Sexuality isn't "chosen". It simply is what it is. That is the major reason that many judge, they simply do not understand that you are attracted to whom you are attracted. The only "choice" is whether or not you allow yourself to have sex.

People are afraid of things that they know little of.
Ignorance is the biggest problem we face today.

And some ppl just feel that their believes are right and anybody who disagrees is the enemy!.
Much like some countries govern!

sweetie first of all, i never chose to get born gay. i just was. your question is based on a wrong assumption. that i choose to be out and live after my own hearts fashion simply makes someone telling me i'm going to hell a judgemental sinner according to their own laws. i'm not judging anyone. they are.

The same reason why people judge you on race, looks, what you are wearing, what type of job you have, or even if you are poor. People are petty jerks, plain and simple. Even if they don't know they are.

"CHOSEN?"
Excuse me!?

Did I hear you right?

Hon, I didn't choose my sexuality! It chose me.

Trust me, I didn't choose to be hated, descriminated against, denied basic human dignity....

The ONLY choice I made was to live my life honestly and unashamed of how I was made!

It's just a way for them to look as though they are better. When the truth is they are hiding their own pain.
