It depends on how important it is to each individual.

I adopted my daughter from China when I was a single American woman living in Japan. It was the hardest thing I ever did, including graduate school. Took forever, had to jump through hoops and red tape for three countries. It also took nearly all of my savings and was the most expensive thing I've ever done -- including grad school. Then I finally held her in my arms. It was worth 100 times the money, time and effort I put in. I would do it a thousand times over again if I could. Fast forward to today. She is 7 years old and my life has never been harder than it has been since I adopted. I had no idea what I was getting into. Being a mom has taken my health, my money, my career, my time and my love life. I would still do it a thousand times over again if I could. My life with my daughter is soooo worth it. Maybe the answer is that self-sacrifice for another is always worth it. Self-indulgence never is.

Love, Happiness, Anger, Excitement, Sadness are all powerful emotions, we feel them every day and the events we endure to come to these emotions we feel is worth everything so that we feel ALIVE, to love someone so wholely, so unconditionally that you would give yourlife for them is powerful and i have 3 people i would do that for...my kids.
We need to feel emotions to get through and succeed in everyday life to achieve everything that we want to achieve, if people don't think anything is worth anything then they live a very empty and pessimistic life...i certainly could not live a life that was filled with lazy people who can not be bothered to give life, emotion and chances a fair go.

If you are asking this question in all sincerity, I suggest you get yourself to a therapist because you must be suffering from some form of severe depression. There are many things in this world that are "really worth it". Just look around you. If you see nothing worthwhile, call a psychiatrist, MD or someone and get some help!

Of course.

You have legs, arms, sight, ears.

You have an education, you can read, write.

be thankful for small gifts.

Just to sit and watch small birds, pelicans, eagles.
Realise how precious life is, see a tiny baby, take pleasure in the rain, or sun, or wind, nature.

Gifts are all around you. Self pity is a luxury, it is self centered and self destructive.

The question is all a matter of perspective.
One mans trash is another mans treasure.
What is dangerous for you is enjoyment for another.
What matters to another, means nothing to you.
Is anything really worth it? That would depend on the value of the word "anything" to the individual.

yes, i'd say love and the experience of it. i am so so happy that i loved someone in this lifetime. now i have a meaning for my existence. even if this girl does not love me back, i tasted heaven. nearing 4 years now and i still like this one special person and every time i hear her voice i just get a rush! her smile, her eyes.. she has a charm that still blows me off my feet.

it's amazing to fall in love. to admire someone silently, madly, truly and deeply. i know i will not be spending the rest of my life with her coz she love's someone else, but what matters to me is the experience i had with her. an experience of a lifetime. life is truly worth living if you experience love.

every love song has a different meaning to me now. i am on a high every time. and i have decided to keep this feeling precious to me. people say it is madness to go on even after knowing that this girl does not consider me worth a person spending this life with. yes, indeed it is madness and i am happy with it. she is the one who makes everything worth it in my life. she completes me.

My dad told me growing up that a baseball card is only worth as much as someone is willing to pay for it..and now, I apply that to pretty much everything...except sex..lol

Their was man that lived many moons ago and he once wrote that life is worthless.

This same man went on to say that life of faith was priceless,a life of faith.
