Usually the tattoo artist will place a decal on your leg to get the positioning correct before he/she get's started. I'd tell the artist your intentions. If you don't like it, it's not like they can force you to commit.
UPDATE: Henna is only a few shades darker than skin color and doesn't come very close to the same level of contrast as you can expect with a tattoo. Try it if you like, but using a sharpie would provide a much closer approximation, and the decal from the artist would be an exact match, but in dark purple.

I'm pondering it is a dangerous inspiration to get a tattoo correct now if you are asking Y!A for tattoo strategies. It's no longer our tattoo, it is yours. please don't forget it deeply, considering when you do it spontaneously it is a remorse ready to occur.
