NO INDUSTRIAL CITY WOULD BE BROUGHT UP NEAR THE GANGA. THIS POLICY WOULD BE IMPLEMENT BY THE GOVERNMENT VERY SOON TO KEEP THE IDENTIFICATION OF THIS HOLY RIVER.

I do not know how a river can be the blood & essence of a religion & I know very less about Hinduism. Ganga started from most probably from Mt. Everest, it could have lot of songs for her beauty & size. But this international river was given lot of damms to get hydro power violating all international law.

When a river is in one of the most densely populated regions on Earth and the local Religion "Hinduism" calls for the cremation of the dead and the ashes to be tossed in such river how much more do you need to know.
