I don't know about that, but if they can't fix it, then they'll exchange it.

I had to take in my laptop because my CD reader/burner wasn't working. They couldn't fix it and couldn't get a replacement part, so they gave me a brand new laptop of equal caliber under the Apple Care plan. This was a couple of years ago.

I have a care plan where I hug you and say "it's OK" 3 times in the first year and once in the second year if you buy any Apple product. If it's something running OSX you get a free hug whenever you want. I do this for free because I feel bad for you.

I don't think its a care plan, its only if it has to be sent in 3 times under the warrantee that comes with it (3 months or something like that) then you have to 'apply' for a new machine. Speak to the mac help people and plead your case. Apparently they will do it, but only if the repairs have been their fault and parts have had to be replaced... good luck!

Hmm that is interesting, but no. They would probably make sure that would never happen though. Maybe they put a limit on amount of time, like first year or something.
