it can happen due to various reason. like it could be due to ur dressup, ur hairsyle or the pose u r sitting or standing in. They matter a lot while taking a photo. it has happened to me also while taking photos n i cant believe that it is actually me.

Both of those styles depend on the person... Obviously, the one with darker skin and dark hair will look better with darker makeup. The blonde with light, light skin will look better with lighter colors... I like the darker colors personally.
