It's either a cartridge problem or a driver issue. I would start with the later, because it doesn't cost any money to try to fix it.

The dirty images can be related to:

The toner cartridge which contains the image roller
A dirty mirror on the laser scanner assembly
A charging roller that has been touched and not contains oil
Malfunctioning fuser

First try a different toner cartridge as this is the most common problem with image defects.

If the mirror on the laser scanner assembly is dirty you'll need to find a qualified technician to assess and clean or if the fuser needs replaced.

The charging roller can be replaced by going to www.printerworks.com and purchasing a replacement. Just don't get any oil on it.
