I wrote something about that in my blog recently. I was having debates with people who are against same-sex marriage. I brought up my recent surfing accident (my board hit a boat), and the fact that if I wasn't awake enough to scream and cry and make a scene, my wife wouldn't have been given any say in my care by the ER doc. Do you know what their brilliant reply was, both of them? "Why don't you just give up surfing?"

That really set me off. I guessed it was part of the same mental disease that makes people think they can choose who gets to marry or choose what kind of partner other people should have. And they still don't realize just how damned arrogant they are!

I wish I knew. Seriously. I wish to all the Gods I knew why people do that $h!t.

I had no choice in being gay. I was born lesbian just like my sister was born straight. Like everyone is born one way or another. Its no choice

What exactly IS a "gay lifestyle" anyway?

I mean, I live my life, I'm a Mom, a devoted partner, a business owner, a community volunteer, a school volunteer, an artist....I've never seen a "gay" car, a gay house, gay clothing, gay taxes, gay houseplants...I live a Suburban Mom lifestyle.
