A tattoo on a more fleshy (or muscular) area is going to be less painful than one on an area such as the shin (ouch). The closer you are to the bone, the more painful it is. Also, it's been my experience that the black or outlining hurts worse than the colored area. Why, I cannot say.

Sorry to say it, but a tattoo on your hip bone WILL hurt.Generally the more flesh there is, there less it'll hurt and directly onto your hip will not be pleasant. From your other question I gather that it'll be script, so the pain shouldn't last long at all - maybe 5 - 10 minutes and then it'll be over. Good luck!

I know this...If you are going for the chin, it's because you have tried other parts of the body. You should know then the levels of pain. Tattoos are an addiction. The more you get, the more you want, because you forget the pain.

Yes, since there is less fat and you will be on a bone it will hurt. On the chest isnt as painful since there is more fat. Good Luck!

any part of a tattoo that is over bone or where you have more neurons like palm of hands will hurt more.
