You are asking the wrong question. Keeping up with the Joneses should never be your goal. Being "as good or better" than your neighbor will never work because someone is always better. Instead, ask "Am I doing the best and being the best that I can be?" This mentality will take you alot further in life.

That's a pretty big question to ask, some people are abused constantly some people are so mentally deteriorated that they are put in an institution their whole lives, look at the case of "genie" a girl who was kept in a room her entire life tied to a chair with a potty on it. Or the boy in the bubble due to having no immune system only got to see the outside world once when nasa created a mini space suite for him with a filtered air system although he refused to go in it ever again and died fairly young.
There are a lot of people out there who have it really bad give us information about your self but there will always be someone in a worse situation than you

as a parent i'd say the answer is in your heart? i honestly believe that all are equal and that in order to be happy you must give up always desiring what others have. i am not wealthy but i wouldnt changes places with anyone. NOT EVEN IF THEY BEGGED, but you could try. truth is i wish i was wealthy, but only if i could have it all. see i have a great husband that works hard for us, always comes home after work, goes shopping with me and he even does housework.... priceless,i will not trade him in. i have 2 great kids that i get complamented on daily. these boys correct others for cursing, smoking, and being rude. they give their old clothes to the needy and even go with me to serve in soup kitchens. my 7 yr old came home today and said he is in love... a girl called him a mommas boy and he said that he couldnt believe how nice she was. priceless, i am keeping my kids too. who else but my little guys think that tickle parties are cool and hugs are hourly?
humm, well i guess i answered your question. you are definitely worse off than me because at $100k+ in debt i can honestly say that i am very very very blessed

I can say with absolute certainty that you are 100% worse off than other people... I can also say you are 100% better off than others. That is the nature of humanity....

you are always going to be worse of than someone, but the fact you have access to the internet means you are better off than 90% of the world's population.

Be thankful for what you have.

If you're not 6 feet under or pushing up daisies. Or if you're not in the hospital on life support or depending on others for help in all your bodily functions. If you're thankful for what you have and who you are.

why would you want to do that ?, try to look for positive things in your life, dont compare like your wanting to unless you want to bring yourself down, always look up. read the bible , look at the life of jesus. after you learn about jesus you will see why this question is something that your not really interested in learning an answer to. i hope this helps
