I think many who dislike the "community" will say that it is because of the biblical idea that males aren't to be emasculated in anyway...so "bottems" are seen as having been emasculated because sexually they are in the "female" role.

I think your question has a two part answer, perception and reality. The perception is widely held that every relationship naturally has a "Man" and a "Woman", that is gender-roles, not actual genders. Because in a heterosexual relationship it is the man who penetrates, then it is assumed that in a gay male relationship the "bottom" is the more feminine of the two.
As it usually is the reality can be quite different from the perception. I'm very straight-acting and consider myself masculine. Not chauvinistic (sp?), masculine. However I would consider myself a bottom, even though without knowing me personally no one would guess I was gay.
Hope that helps.

inspite of your form or what you pay interest to or the belongings you opt for to do you're literally not a lot less gay than your boyfriend. you're both gay! only because one in all you enjoys distinct issues that seem to make you extra gay or a lot less does no longer mean you're quite extra gay or a lot less gay. there is no chemical stability that announces ok you want blue and also you adore football you're literally not that gay. anybody who's gay is gay!

It's a role thing. The usual role of a man in a straight sex is to "f u c k" a woman. Therefore top guys assumes the masculine role while those who gets "f u c k e d" assumes the woman or feminine role.

Not all gay men have anal intercourse, many don't. Those that do are far more likely to go both ways than be exclusively one or the other. Why deny yourself an extremely pleasurable activity?

I don't think so...no, they are not...besides unless you're in bed with them it's not always easy to tell who's a bottom.
