1. x/2 + x/6 = 7
LCM of 2 and 6 is 6
3x/6 x/6 = 7 *6
3x + x = 42
4x = 42
x = 21/2

2. x/2 + x/3 - x/4 = 12
LCM of 2, 3 and 4 is 12
12x/2 + 12x/3 /12x/4 = 12*12
6x + 4x – 3x = 144
7x = 144
x = 144/7

3.x/9 + 2x/5 = 3
LCM of 9 and 5 is 45
45x/9 + 90x/5 = 45 * 3
5x + 18x = 135
23x = 135
x = 135/23

4. 5/2x + 1/6 = 8
5/2x = 8 -1/6
5/2x = 47/6
5*6 = 2x * 47
15= 47x
x = 15/47

5.4/x - 1 = 7
4/x = 7+1
4/x = 8
x = 4/8
x = ½

6.1/x + 1/2x = 3
LCM of 2x and x is 2x
3/2x = 3
2x = 1
x = ½
