No, my parents thought I was nuts.
Listen to some big band and tell me it's boring.
music is from the soul, and the times reflect it.
Then again I like all music.

My mom liked my music from the '60's and even my grandmother liked Elvis Presley. When the psychedelic age came a little later (Joplin, Hendricks, etc.) some of those at Woodstock were parents themselves and too stoned on drugs to give a darn about their kids. Even though Woodstock had thousands attending, that was a very small faction of America that you have seen on the news and read about. Don't believe how the liberal media has portrayed the '60's. Main stream America did not have the infiltration of drugs like you may have been led to believe. The movie, "American Graffiti" was a TRUE portrayal of the 60's and that was the era and "culture" that I and so many older "baby boomers" miss so much today. Although I was young enough then I didn't live in California and NYC and wasn't exposed to drugs. I was a teenager and parent then but prefered the old early 60's music. Some of the music Joplin, Led Zeplin, etc. put out was good but alot of us didn't follow the drug culture that came out of the Haight-Ashbury area and Dr. Leary's lab at Berkley.

What...are you kidding? I was in high school in the late 60's and I grew up listening to 40's and 50's from my parents. They liked all kinds of music and my siblings and I were always exposed to different music. I brought my own kids up listening to 30's,40's,50's,60's,70's,80's to present, and they all knew alot more about music than their friends did too. That was back when there was music!

My dad listens to rock and roll, funk, and jazz. His well-liked artists are Elton John, Prince, David Bowie, and Grover Washington. For some reason he hates the early Beatles, i do not understand why perchance a irritating adolescence second. Then he likes Queen and Led Zeppelin too. So, he listens to relax music...yet I even ought to back and back ask him to exhibit it down. My mom used to take heed to relax music. those days it type of feels as regardless of the reality that she's dealing with a music section listening to Amy Winehouse, Christina Aguilera, and various of human beings I by no ability heard of...i'm no longer declaring that is undesirable, that is in basic terms compared to her. I in basic terms ought to help her get lower back.

my mom-mom (grandmother) has these stories about how much she hated hearing my aunt and uncles music, Pink Floyd,
Grateful Dead, etc. Mom-mom listens to Frank Sinatra, Dean Martin, Patsy Cline, Jaohnny Cash, Charlie Pride, and that was all excellent music by the way, classics!!!!!!!!!!!!!
My mom was more of a 70's raised kid, 13 yrs younger than them, and my grandmother hated her music too. Most parents have always, and probably will always their children's taste in music.
