My girlfriend took plan B pill, a week later she gets her period, a week after her period, she started bleeding again, she was having similar pains as her period, but she says the blood does not look the same. I really don't know what it is suppose to look like, but i wanted to know if this is caused by her taking the Plan B pill. This was the first time she ever took plan B pill. I'm really worried because she did some research and she thinks it could be related to cancer, or another serious problem. I'm trying to calm her down by telling her that it must be from Plan B pill, so please help me, we can't afford to see a doctor.

ive taken the plan B pill more than a few times and ive experienced the same thing (even being scared its cancer). its a large dose of hormones all at once and that can cause spotting even after her period. make sure that it only happens within the month after she takes plan B, if it happens againg outside of that month it could be something more serious.

Plan B works exactly like taking a regular birth control shot or pill but is a massive once and done dose.... It strips the stuff that lines your uterus along with the normal egg that causes your period. Even as an avid user of birth control I've always thought that there is no way that it can be good for your body, making it go against its nature.

There are free clinics you can go to, so I think you should go to one. I'm sorry I can't tell you anything else because I don't really know a lot about the Plan B pill. If the bleeding was a result of this pill, I don't think it could possiblt be cancer because she has only been taking it for a few weeks. Good luck.

What she needs to do is get some medical attention. If she can't afford to make an appointment with her family doctor, then take her to the ER and worry about paying for it later.

It's possible that it's nothing to be alarmed over, or it's possible that she's hemorrhaging inside. Only a doctor and a battery of tests can answer that definitively.

I'd also recommend that she stay away from that pill and stop playing games with her reproductive system.

Yes, it is from the Plan B. It is a huge dose of birth control, so it is going to mess with her cycle for a few weeks. She will be fine.
