Dying in the defense of a cause in which you believe strongly... like if the government is oppressing the peoples and you stand up for their rights, but the government/supporters kill you for that, then that is an honourable death.

I would have to say sacrifising yourself for something you truley believe in whether others agree or not, whethewr it be for someone or something you love, or for your religion, or any other number of reasons. So long as you truley believe it is the right thing to do then that is the most honerable death you can acchive...Much like how the Samurai viewed Seppuku.
