Something started smelling about halfway to our work...when I got out I noticed a large, brown piece of poop in the back seat.

Hoe do I remove the smell or stain???

Earlier in the trip, when Carlos asked if they could stop at a bathroom, I said we were running late and he should hold it in.

Go to Petsmart or Petco and purchase a product called "Simple Solution." It's an enzymatic spray to remove urine/poopy stains. You simply spray it well, let it sit for 10 minutes, and blot it with a clean cloth. The smell will be gone once the fabric si completely dry.

Definitely first use some kind or mixture of vinegar, fabric detergent and alcohol (vinegar) so that the smell decreases and (alcohol and detergent) it gets disinfected. Scrub and wipe off really well with a wet rag. Then at the end pour a bunch of Arm and Hammer baking soda and let it stay there for like 1 or 2 hours and it will absorb the remaining smell. Then just use a vacuum to get rid of the white baking soda.

Definitely though, you should use the alcohol and then at the end of the entire cleaning process spray some disinfecting odorizing spray such as Lysol.

I used to work as a cleaning lady for a year so I know what I'm saying, lol.

Good luck.

I used to drive an 18 wheeler and pulled refrigerated trailers....Whenever I picked up an empty trailer that had a stinky odor in it..I would sprinkle coffee grounds on the floor and just close the doors for awhile. It usually overpowers any other odor
and makes the inside smell like coffee!!

As for the stain.....I like the "pet store" option somebody wrote above....otherwise,I would probably go to AutoZone or someplace like that and ask them what cleaner they would recommend for your particular stain.

...and It would be a cold day in a hot place before I would let him in my car again!!

As for the stain, a lot of good old soap and cold water. As for freshening and getting rid of the smell, febreze really is the best.

Vinegar for the smell, any carpet cleaner (preferably Oxy Clean) for the stain.

That's just sick!!
What did you do scare the s hit out of him?
Professional clean Job is what I'd do and make him pay for it, after all if you didn't scare the **** out of him he should have done it before he got in the car.

First, take the back seat out. Then, light it on fire. Next, replace the seat with a new one.

Get a professional cleaning. You have to think of the health risks.
