simple... they govern you. They tell you how to run your lives so therefore everyone should have interest in government. Unfortunately thats not true with most Americans who don't have a clue what is happening and would rather focus their attention Paris Hilton or a new reality TV series. Pathetic.

They provide safety, security, benefits to those in need regardless of color , creed, or religion. Not to mention ,allow us to be the melting pot of world views........and the list goes on. We need some form of structure and direction, don't ya think?

With out it, there would be no country. They co-ordinate everything in our lives. On a local basis, state basis, and federal basis. They protect us and keep us from chaos by organizing everything in our lives. (Oh, my, God, did just write that?)
