though, i have never taken bribes, i gave to hospital ward boys, in government hospitals to see the patients who are in critical care . even to see our relatives and close friends those scoundrels working in government hospitals demand bribes.

It was only once when I had gone to drop my girlfriend at the crossroads near her house.
I stopped my bike at the roadside when a police constable caught hold of me and said that the road was "no entry". However there was no sign board and the cop was wrong. I argued first but then I also had to hurry back home, so I asked him to make a spot fine.
This might be a bribe but I would call it a bribe as it was legal and I paid a fine.. not gave him something for nothing or to solve any of my interests.. since I had 2 helmets.. license .. insurance papers and pollution papers as well....along with me....

Most people don't even know if they have taken a bribe that's the sad part about the corporate america.....You all have a resume and it tells a story

Zero. I don't have enough money to offer bribes & noone has ever offered me a bribe. Makes it easy to stay honest.

I know that the answer depends on where you live in the World and that it would be naive to pretend that you would not do it if you had to.
If it was for my family, I'd do it in a heartbeat.
My background is Scotland and Canada and I have never experienced it.

never taken but given in govt. dept to get my personal work done , which in normal course each dept would take months and i would be standing in queue for days
