Paypal work with payment options and receiving payment options. If you want to buy something you can pay with a paypal account which is just a way to use money in your bank account of money in a creditcard online through (paypal) and pay the person you want the product you want, If you sell something and the final bid is $23.49 the person why won has the option to buy with paypal and would have to pay 23.49 and shipping price and they will send it into your paypal account where paypal takes a 3-4 % becuase of the service it provided but only when people send you money not vice versa....

Paypal is just an online intermediary payment option. whoa, that sounds stuffy! But really, you can make payments to not just sellers on ebay, but lots of other internet sites accept it now too. You choose how you want to make payment. Either by listing a major credit card with paypal or a bank account. If you have both set up with paypal everytime you use paypal to pay someone you choose which to pay with. I have used it for a loonnng time and never had a problem. I have also used Bidpay, another online service and had good results with them too. Happy ebaying! Bidding is FUN!

PayPal is an easy method to make payments for internet purchases.. eBay in particular. Its an account that is 'attached' to a particular credit card that you specify... or to your bank checking account. When you use PayPal it uses your email address as an identifyer. The purchase you pay for will be charged to the credit card or bank account that is part of your PayPal account. You can also recieve funds via PayPal. If someone wants to send you money, all they need is your email address that you have in PayPal. It will be in your account with PayPal that you can transfer to your bank, or just let it wait.. and use it next time you make an online purchase. The amount of cash you have in your PayPal account will be used first, and any remaining debt is charged to your card or checking acct.
If you have a PayPal account, be aware that there are sometimes 'phishing' emails that you will get.... saying something like they want to verify your PayPal acct, or that unless you respond, your acct will be terminated. DO NOT respond to them... PayPal does not work that way. If PayPal sends you a message it will be in your PayPal message center, not to you in an email. If you get one of those types of emails (you'll get very similar emails that look like they are from eBay) forward them to spoof@paypal.com or spoof@ebay.com. They will let you know if or if they did not send them.
