One person I know guessed $25,000 and another guessed $1,000,000. I think it is somewhere in between. ;-)

It all depends on the area of the outlet, the amount you wish to splash on vanity decor other than essentials like chillers etc. and who is designing it. Ambiance is also part of the value proposition. It can vary from $25000 to $100,000 or more.

First, think of what type of clientele you want. Little kids care about the ice-cream, not the interior, not even if you spend $50 million. And, even if you want to cater to adults, I can't see why you would need to spend as much as $25,000.00 An upscale look does not necessarily carry an upscale price. Any type of design (interior, fashion, web, etc). is cheap to implement, unless you WANT to spend money just to say you have spent a lot of money. Think of what you really WANT (the atmosphere, the look, etc). The cost of materials and labor could be as low as $1,000.00 but DEFINITELY no more than $5,000.00 And then you can send me the remaining $20,000.00 to $24,000.00 so I can put a down payment on a nice home for my 12-year-old daughter and me.
