With this being your 1st, you have a good chance of not showing as much as what you think you would. I am 20 weeks pregnant with my second child and you can still BARELY tell I am. Some people just carry smaller than others. But, I would DEFINITELY see a doctor if you haven't done so yet. When the doc does the ultrasound, if he says the baby measures where it should be, there should be nothing to worry about. I wish you the best of luck. Also...try out this book "What to expect when you're expecting." I read it with my 1st pregnancy, and am re-reading it with this one! It answers TONS of questions you might have. Best book in the world. Congrats!

Consider yourself lucky! I've had three kids and I didn't start showing until the last trimester. I was in college (26 years old with my first pregnancy) and working on a group project 6 weeks before I was due. One day I mentioned the kicking, and they all looked at me strangely and admitted they didn't know I was pregnant. I'm 5'7" with a long midsection and I didn't show much (I was not overweight either). My baby was also big at 8 pounds, 20 1/2 inches. All women carry differently and I did have a large chest which may have have allowed loose clothes to hide my belly more. I think if you have a smaller chest, it's harder to conceal the belly.
As long as your baby is growing and you're measuring correctly, then you have nothing to worry about. Enjoy it and be thankful!

Congratulations on your pregnancy. I can't really help you as I've never really been pregnant. You should be able to feel your baby by now though, kicking and stuff. What does your doctor say? Book in and get a check up if you're concerned...
I'm not implying anything here, but a girl I worked with was pregnant, and right up until the day before giving birth I could not tell she was even pregnant (she was around a size 22 au) - she just looked like she did 9 months earlier... And she had a healthy 9lb baby...
Some babies lie in the womb in a way that it's not as obvious. I'd get it checked out if you're worried though.

I am 35 1/2 weeks and am hardly showing at all.. I am still wearing my blue-jeans very comfortably..(jeans are usually the first to go as they don't usually stretch) I have actually lost weight with my pregnancy. My co-workers are joking that I am the most un-pregnant pregnant woman they know..lol.
If your OB is not worried, you shouldn't be either. Some of us just get blessed by the pregnancy fairy the first time around. As long as you are feeling your baby move, and the OB is not worried you shouldn't be either. Good Luck!

My mom was 34 wks pregnant with me and looked like she wasn't pregnant at all. Some people thought she was lieing but I am proof she wasn't lol. Some woman just don't show and others do. For me I am a big girl anyways so when i got pregnant i didn't show until about 32 wks when i started going in to labor. I know my cousin didn't show until 36 wks and she was 16 and I think a size 10 up to that point.

I had my baby at 35 weeks, you could tell I was but I was measuring really small. My doc sent me in for a non-stress test at the hosp. and they had me come back again the next day. Well the next day, I had another, and the doc came in and said I was staying and having the baby! I guess he wasn't responding as well as he should have, he was transverse, so I had to have a c-section. Turns out, my placenta was aged, and was not providing the right amount of nutrients, and when he came out, the cord was wrapped around his neck. He came out 4 pounds 5 ounces. So my guess to you is that your baby might just be a small baby, or the baby could be sitting very high. Your doc should be checking on things to see if they are ok. I didn't tell you this to freak you out, so relax, just telling you what happened when I was measuring small. My baby was a month early and he's perfectly healthy!! Good luck to you

Don't worry, I'm 38 weeks and still only have a really small bump. I was worried as well as I have only put on a small amount of weight but my doctor told me that as long as the baby isn't growing probably and gaining enough weight then theirs nothing to worry about. My midwife also told me that they no longer weigh woman that much during pregnancy and instead go on the baby's weight and worry about how he or she is growing most.

Depends are you tall? The taller you are the less you will show.If your petite you could be less likely to show also.Pregnant woman come in all shapes and sizes.I'm currently at 30 wks and just started really showing in the last month.I'm sure your fine.If you are concerned though you should ask your doctor. In the last trimester is when the baby will do most of it's growing so Be ready for the weight gain.I'm sure you will be fine.Congrats Mommy!!!

some people hardly show at all. i met this one lady and she had a cute tiny baby bump. I figured she was about 4-5 months along and she was almost due!
One time though my aunt who was a nurse (and a good one at that) was told to go and take this lady to the delivery room. My auntie went in the room and came right back out and said there was no pregnant woman in there.. turns out she was a ballet dancer and her muscles were so toned and tight and tough that she never did show! Weird huh...

I didn't show until I was about 35 weeks, then it happened overnight..........one night I was skinny, and the next I looked like I had a basketball under my shirt. Even my husband was amazed.
Just go with it and enjoy being pregnant. Congrats on your new baby! Take lots of pictures, because they sure don't stay small for very long. Take pregnant pictures, too, because even if you get pregnant again, it won't be exactly like this one. =)
Cheers!
