Actually, you can have 2 operating systems. But, if you just want the XP, find a Win98 startup disk and format the drive in MSDOS. Boot up to the startup disk, change to C: drive and type format C: that will wipe everything off of the drive. You should be able to install XP and format the drive during the install process though.

Assuming you have set the computer to boot from CD Rom in the BIOS as Thomas suggested, when the Windows XP setup screen appears, choose to delete the current operating system and then read and follow the instructions from there until you get to format using NTFS System (QUICK) Once that is complete, Windows XP will install.

Try booting to the XP CD. It will give you the options to delete, recreate, and format the partition that the W2K system is on.

Get a bootable copy of windows xp, put it in the cd tray and restart the computer..then start tapping F2 intill your in the Bios and from theres its pretty easy

if u have bootable xp Cd then u just enter ur cd drive and restart your computer after that u go step up step it is eassy.
otherwise if you have dm software if format your hard disk through dm after that you laod xp software.
hope this will serve your purpose.
