I'm a wife, and I get no clothing allowance whatsoever. Not 100, not 50. Nada. I go to this free clothing exchange place. That is all, or I make it or buy it myself.

I don't have a wife, but I let my husband spend about 50 a month. Since I am in charge of the finances.

How much money do you "ALLOW" your wife??? What kind of a husband has to give his wife permission to buy clothes?
I buy as many clothes as I please and my fiance doesn't and wouldn't say a word about it - unless I was being absurd with spending.

I have no wife, but I would allow my wife to spend $2,000 on clothes per year !!!

If she has a job she can spend as much as she wants! Otherwise, she needs to be frugal. I'd say unless you're pulling 6 figures or more she doesn't need a shopping trip more than once every couple months!

Hubby gives me $300 per week for groceries, diapers, dogfood, catfood, gas, etc. Whatevers left over, I can spend on me. I usually end up with a shirt from walmart every week or a new CD. Im not big on spending for myself, my kids, hubby, and keeping my home well supplied is enough for me.

Haven't you learned your lesson from answers to your similar question last night? Husbands do not have the right to tell, allow or intimidate (see last night's ?) their wives to do anything and vice versa.
