I got my period 6 and a half months after delivery. I had another one 34 days later and another 39 days later. Now it has been 47 days and I haven't gotten my period again. Can changes in nursing patterns effect the cycle?

I started my period about 6 months after delivery - the first one was regular... then I got back on birth control and they went all out of whack so I got off of them again and my last period was regular.

If you are breast feeding then your periods will not be normal until after you stop. Most woman dont even have their periods while breast feeding.

I would talk to you OBGYN or just call the DR's nurse. But I am sure that nursing has something to do with it

It can take a long time for periods to return to normal if you are breastfeeding. Please make sure you are protecting yourself against unwanted pregnacy! Breastfeeding does not guarantee protection against pregnancy.
