This is very common. Just wait till your boys do it!

I were amazed more about your ignorance than your bother-in-law action! In fact, it's normal for a 16 y/o guy masturbate at any time and in different ways as any young people know.
Anyway, don't worry because he just is a normal guy and don't try to peep his action or to reproach him for that! That just will be a way for you to figure out what your sons will do in the future!

Yup, normal. When my best friend's little girl was 2.5 we (me and the little girl) use to play pirates all the time, part of the game was the rough sea.. I'd lay on the floor on my stomach, she'd sit on my butt/small of my back and I'd try to bounce her off my back. When I stopped she's keep rocking and kinda jumping... I thought it was the game she wanted me to continue. It was weeks before her mother, who was watching us all the time realized what she was doing, kinda grinding... I was horrified beyond belief but kept calm. She didn't know the difference and I didn't know what she was doing why would you even think a child that age was doing that.

Kids will grind on a lot of things, couch arms, cushions, pillows, blankets, anything really. It feels good, that's all they know. And a lot will do it while asleep.

I've woke up to my boyfriend NOW as an adult rubbing his penis, rubbing on a pillow or me. (Not often).

normal, completely normal. probably having an erotic dream if he was asleep or masturbating if he was awake. Just walk away, he'll finish soon enough with a wet spot in his pants. LOL.

Now if he was awake, you might ask him to do that sort of thing in private. Your living room is not a private area.

Your 2 small boys are some day going to do similar things.

This is normal, but he needs to know that he does not need to do it in the presence of anyone in the house hold. He needs to be talked to by and adult male. This is a touchy subject with a lot of teens and should be handled gently. Most of them grow out of it.

dont say anything to him yourself. Tell an adult male to take care of it. Is there anyplace he can sleep, like in a seperate room? Try to keep your boys away from this but just remeber their days of floor humping is just around the corner

Although, this may seem weird to you and to me; I know that most teens or preteens do this to try to make it seem like they're actually experiencing a real sexual experience. What you walked in on was a form of masturbation, this is totally normal.

Humping asleep.......I've read that's an excuse to have sex with another person. It may have something to do with your brother-in-law's case. But you should find out why the floor.

I know it's not pretty, but don't make too big a deal out of it. Teenage boys have more hormones than they know what to do with. As long as he was asleep and not awake when this was happening you shouldn't worry.
