Sarcasm is normally a "tone of voice" that would be very difficult to detect over the Internet. If I were to look outside and see storm clouds, and then say it is going to rain today you might reply:
"No, do you think?". Say that out loud and you have sarcasm. Read it and you have a difference of opinion.

I personally think its rather hard...in fact, it can sometimes even cause fights between my friends and i because i have a very cruel sense of sarcasm, and for the most part, they don't get that i'm just kidding...the way i usually take care of it is saying "tht was sarcastic btw"

I can sense sarcasm generally. You just have to pay attention to the tone of their writing. With some it is very obvious, while others are not.

I think that I can sometimes. I have a very dry sense of humor and sometimes on the net people totally take things the wrong way and sometimes they get it.
