You usually have to wait one week after your missed period before a positive sign will show up.
This is because the fertilized egg needs to implant in the uterus (therefore, have rudimentary placenta tissue) before the pregnancy hormone, hCG, will begin being produced. Then, it needs to be produced in a high enough concentration to cause a reaction on the strip.
So wait a few more days, I wish you luck!

probably not and if you're using EPT definetly not because it tests for the smallest amounts of the prgnancy hormone HCG. If you had sex on your ovulation day, or the day you were supposed to start it can push your cycle back sometimes as far as 2 wks. Stress can confuse your cycle too, if you're stressed about the posibility of being pregnant stop. If you're on Birth control that regulates your period, see a doctor because no period is not a good thing you could be having an eptopic pregnancy and a PT test doesn't always catch these. Plus an eptopic pregnacy can be fatal or injure your chances of getting pregnant in the future, so you'r ebest bet, see a doc if it ocntinues to be negative past 2 weeks and if your really worried go tomarrow

I am only able to know for sure that I'm pregnant by going to the doctor and taking a blood pregnancy test early on.
The only time an HPT shows on me is when I'm about 10 week pregnant, which is usually a week to a few days before my miscarriage starts.

If your under a lot of stress that can cause your period to be late. Also, if you are trying to get pregnant - just the worry that your not or sometimes 'trying too hard' can cause your period to be late (basically another stress-causer). I'd talk to my doctor if I went beyond a week or 2 late.

Pregnancy tests will come out positive as long as you're pregnant.

The over the counter ones are not that good! If you want to be sure get blood test at the doctors. Also stress is a big factor that can do it.

I took 5 tests before one came back positive with my daughter. Sometimes it takes longer for their to be a measurable amount of hormone in your urine. Try taking a test with your early morning pee as the hormone will be more consentrated.

Home tests are 99% accurate the day after you miss your period. Most likely your ovulation was delayed and that is delaying your period.

It may takes weeks to get enough of the pregnancy hormone in your system to register positive.
If you are worried or its been a few weeks you may want to see your GYN.
