You could have a tubal pregnancy. If you did you would test +, but when they do the ultrasound it wouldn't show up in your uterus.
I would seek a 2nd opinion just in case. But you should know that 98% of tubal pregnancies end in miscarriage.
I wish you all the luck

I'm going to give you advice as far as my first pregnancy went. First, did you ever take a blood test that said yes your are pregnant???? If that is a yes, I went for my first US with my first preg. and the US tech didn't say much. Well a few days later, I was out of town and my doc's office called everyone on my contacts list, and told me to go to a hosp immediately and get more blood work. It turned out, I had a molar pregnancy, which a hpt will still read the HCG levels, which were very high, and are in molars. What happened with me is when his sperm came in to contact with my egg, my egg had split in two, and it fertilized the wrong egg, the egg with no dna. So instead of forming a fetus, it formed a bunch of cells. I had to have a dnc to remove these cells, there was no baby after all. It was very heartbreaking, but felt better after understanding what happened. So I suggest you contact your doc to see if he has had a radiologist look at your US, and get more blood work done. If your blood work says yes prego, but very high hcg levels, then there might be a chance you have one too. It occurs in about 1 in 1000 women. Now, I got prego about 6 months later, and I had a beautiful baby boy 2 months ago on Nov 2. So I am just here to give you some heads up, and try not to worry too much. call your ob asap though. good luck and god bless. (or there could be a chance that you aren't prego at all)

My step sister had this happen. The pregnancy test said yes but the u/s said no. It was a blighted ovum. This is where the egg is damaged and an embryo never forms. It will cause your body to think it is pregnant and fool a pregnancy test as well. Not sure what the doctor gave you to drink...never heard of that but if you got your period you should be fine now.

If the ultrasound gave no indication of a pregnancy, then you're not pregnant. Ultrasounds don't "fail." Call your doctor and have them explain everything to you.

When I was 3 weeks pregnant I went to the hospital and told them I thought I was 16 weeks pregnant and they rushed me up to labor and delivery.. I didnt know how far along I was and wanted them to tell me cause I had to wait for my insurance to kick it... Anyway they did an ultrasound and couldnt find anything so they took blood and an hour later came back and told me I was 3 weeks pregnant

No you are not pregnant. The ultrasound would have detected something. However I would be very curious what they gave you to drink.
