split the room into Jews and Nazis. Give each of them an identity card with the name of a real person with some real information on that person. On your poster, you could go through the timeline of Anne Frank's ordeal. Involve your entire classroom, ask them to read off certain facts about their character one at a time. Point of the story, at the end of the presentation, they will have learned some of Anne Franks ordeal and you can write on the back of each of the students "identity" card what happened to the person they had pretended to be for 30 minutes. It is suprising to many that most of the classroom would be "dead" and the other half would have beeb the ones who "killed" their classmates alot of times just for the simple reason their hair wasn't the right color. Of course this might be too in depth for your class. Im not sure about the age you are trying to go for.
Another interesting and odd topic could be something to do with the Giant Killer Squid. You can find tons of info on the Discovery Channels website. They have pics. Good Luck

Are you searching for a person, place or thing to be worked on? If it's a person, I'd suggest a Romantic poet. They seem to have the largest amount of scandal and adventurous romps. If you're looking for a poem or something of that ilk, I'd go with Lord Byron's Manfred, or perhaps early Eudora Welty.
Good luck!

it truly is going to be counted lots on what aspect they are, yet attempt those, they are continually a winner in my education: a million. the perfect city they have ever travelled to. 2. shipping of their present day city. 3. A competition of their way of existence and the way it truly is widely known. 4. customary television programme/action picture/drama & why. 5. nutrition and drink of their u . s . a . compared to the rustic they are in now. 6. A interest they prefer/watch/practice. 7. Marriage - even with the reality that it would want to properly be a sensetive one with Asians. 8. Describing their homes and the position they could opt for to stay in the destiny. 9. pastimes. 10. preparation. 11. pals/perfect pals. 12. each and each day workouts. thirteen. climate. 14. artwork. 15. evaluate broadsheet to tabloid. ahh there are only tens of millions of topics, yet all you want to do is adapt it to the desires of your pupil. keep in mind the way of existence alterations and the flaws that can lead them to experience awkward or uncomfortable. many times, i found that talking about conflict upsets them and faith makes them argue and disband. wish this permits.

I did a project on the Salem Witchcraft Trials of 1692. Very, very interesting, and no one had a topic like it. Definitely kept their attention!

How about how you think your life might be different if you were born of the opposite sex? What's better, what's worse, etc. Depending on the grade of the children of course it could prove to be incredibly interesting. I'd like to see the results of something like that!
