Simply think before you act. When you have a decision to make, think beyond the here and now and imagine the consequences that choice will have. Don't rush into decisions, then you are acting on impulse, not logic.

If you are going to be rational /logical in your day to day decisions , my friend, you are going to be losing out to some spontaneity and thrill. Truely so.

Mamny if not all of our daily decisions are based on routine , trusted and tried situations. We donot apply rationality there. But what happens each day is that BESIDES these daily routines there do happen additional situations. Unexpected and complex.

I would say, as a general guide, where there is some life threatening matter you should be thinking logically or rationally and then take decisons. Where in doubt consult your trusted friend . By and large go by what you intuitively feel .

On the other matters which are not critical go by your heart and keep the rational. logical part as a back up only. You will enjoy new thrills .

Examine your motives. Understand why you react the way you do. What are you really reacting to?

Understand that nobody MAKES you mad or sad or happy. You allow yourself to respond to them in a certain way. This is a fact, you just need to see it that way.

If someone tells my niece she's stupid, she freaks out. If someone calls me stupid, I laugh. Did that person "make" her freak out? Or did she allow herself to freak out?
