Yes, I still see both for sale. AOE2 gold is a lot more common, I see it everywhere.
AOE gold is a little harder to find (I haven't seen it since last december)

possibly e-bay. There is a lot of abandonware sites on the internet that can give alot of information of where to get out of date games.Usually I go to http://www.the-underdogs.info/ to look for really old games. Or maybe you could risk bit torrents or p2p downloads.

i'm sure that you may find it at a store, but due to it's age, tough luck
but should your search be fruitless
you could always look online and buy it through credit card
