Jesus said, "Again I say to you, it is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle, than for a rich man to enter the kingdom of God.”
It's my understanding that the needle referred to is the entrance of a walled city. In Jesus' time, a camel would have to be unburdened before it would fit through the gate.
Either way, sewing needle or gate. When you compare Americans to everyone else on Earth, we are very rich. So, I guess we'd all better give this some thought.
But, I also think Bush and Cheney's support of institutionalized torture, lack of stewardship of the Earth, and disregard for the rights and needs of the poor might also be a set back for them.
I disagree with the answers above that Jesus will forgive everyone or that he forgives everyone that says, "I believe.". I believe Jesus will separate the wheat from the chaff and it wont be a test only of what you have said during your life.
Jesus taught us to ask to be forgiven as we forgive those that trespass against us. This whole 9/11 response, Muslim profiling, preemptive war thing might get sticky for some of us when we see St. Peter.

No, they go to Memphis and visit Graceland. The king meets the king.
Actually, I'm sure they'll go to heaven if they can find a lobbyist to pay for the ticket

Only if they accept God as their personal saviour. It's pretty simple really no tests, no criteria. A little prayer usually gains them entry. It works for you too. Just try it. Pray this or similar. Your local church will give you the right words, or at least better than mine.
Dear God or heavenly Father, I know I have sinned against you and that I do not deserve Heaven. I now give my life to you and accept you as my saviour, I accept your word and I ask you into my life to rescue me from the ways of the world and sin and temptations of that world. I ask you into my life to guide me as a father guides his child. Change me, mould me into something that is pleasing to you father. I pray this in Jesus' name, amen.

If they truly repent before they die they will.
God forgives all sinners (no matter how big the atrocities are).
