The real thing to consider is how you came to be impacted. Some of it can come from a low-fiber diet, which slows down digestion with backed-up BURGERS or whatever. More vegetables and bran can help a lot if you are basically healthy. A decent amount of exercise to keep your intestines moving is also quite important.
If its due to medications you are taking or a chronic illness, that's a talk to have with a doctor. However, enemas should not become a regular thing, as the body can become too dependent on them. The same goes for laxatives in general, althought Correctol is pretty gentle and some form of the bowel softener Colace will often help. Sodium citrate is another good solution and very inexpensive. A bottle of that runs about a dollar and can do the job within a day.
Just don't make a habit of any of these. The trick is to make your body handle that on its own, so use them sparingly. Keep it simple and occasional. Expensive options are not your best choice. A decent diet, exercise such as walking or swimming that keep the gut mobile and sparing use of other methods are the way to go.

I, too, am confused as to why you would need a month's supply.

If you are constipated, you should start with the small guns and move to the big guns (one step up each time). Small guns, water, excersice and fiber or fiber additives (Benefiber, Metamucil, etc.).
If that does not offer relief, move up to stool softners, laxitives or milk of magnisia.
If you still cannot produce a bowl movement, there is an over the counter solution (Magnisium citrate) that you can get at any pharmacy. It comes in a lemon-lime 'flavor', drink the 10 oz. and you will clean yourself out in very short order (only drink this stuff when you are at home and have no where you need to be).

You must drink plenty of water with all of the above solutions.

You should probably contact your doctor if this is an ongoing problem and you feel your diet has sufficient fiber and water.

If you are looking to 'cleanse' and do not have a constipation issue, be careful, as there are certain bacteria in the digestive tract that are supposed to be there. If you 'cleanse' too often and not under the supervision of a Dr., it could throw your system into an im-balance. You can also do this if you rely on OTC remedies too often instead of proper diet.

Ok, I am assuming you want to head to the drug store and poop your brains out.
Buy 2 bottles of fleets phospha soda over the counter or the generic brand at Walmart. Guzzle the 1st one with some clear liquids and prepare for the worst diarrhea of your life. Wait 4 hours then guzzle the 2nd one with some clear liquids. Keep drinking water, pop, apple juice or tea....whatever you prefer, and you will crap your brains out.
RN in a hospital. I prep patients for colonoscopies. They cost about $2. a bottle. Cheap and effective. Go for it!!!!

Depends on how bad the impaction is. You can get some really good OTC stuff for a reasonable price. Or you can get something from your doctor that will really work. You really don't need a 3 month supply if you get something good. think about it.

Why not use a stool-softener? Colace from the drug store can make it much easer to glide along. A lot less money. Also I've read to drink plenty of water, and eat fiber (fruits and vegetables, oatmeal) for bulk.

Did you know the Chinese refer to the intestines as the "source of 10,001 diseases"?

Peach Kernel Teapills formula (tao ren wan/run chang wan) is an all-natural Chinese herbal formula used to lubricate the intestines and unlock the bowels, thereby purging harmful toxins from the body's intestines.

I would HIGHLY suggest visiting this website,
http://healthequip-store.stores.yahoo.net/index.html

There products are great! All natural supplements to help with digestion, cleansing, and over all help. Stay away from over the counter cleansers cause they have additives in them especially sugar which is so bad for you especially when your trying to cleanse cause it makes you bloat.

Please. At the hospital we use TWE or SSE. That is, tap water enema, or soap suds enema. Like a litre of fluid. Also can use fleets enemas (phosphosoda). Why do you need to pay for all this? If it's good enough for colonoscopies, that should tell you all you need to know!
