Check your local state laws...I know in NV you can put an AD in the paper and the person has a certain time to respond...if they dont respond then you can file for divorce_

I think in Australia you only need to be seperated 12 months but not sure if you need 2 names on the divorce papers
I don't think you need 2 names because even if the other person don't agree it still happens( the divorce)
but I don't know for sure

You don't have to know where she is...or contact her....
to divorce her. Just get a lawyer and he will advertise
that you are filing for a divorce in X state and X county.
If she doesn't contest it, you're home free. The ads are
usually placed in some obscure paper that she would never
see anyhow. Please don't do what I did. That's go to
Mexico for a divorce. I paid big bucks and found out it
was illegal.

You don't have to contact her. File the divorce papers and give them her last known address. Then have her served with the last known address. If she doesn't respond in the alotted time you will be granted a default judgement of divorce.
