Cassandra or Cassidy? He also likes Mariah. I'm thinking maybe Mariah Cassidy.

Mariah Cassidy is really beautiful! If you decide to choose between Cassandra and Cassidy for first names, I hope you'd choose Cassidy because although I like the name Cassandra, there are a lot of little girls named Cassandra recently, but Cassidy is still a bit unique. Good choices!

I really don't like Cassandra, it's kind-of a hefty, long name. Cassidy is simple and pretty. This is also my 6 yr old cousin, and they call her "Cass", but you could easily call her Cassie as a nickname for Cassidy. I also once knew a girl that her full name was just Cassie. Don't use Mariah, as a 1st name. Cassidy Mariah sounds just as nice, if not nicer, than the other way around. I say don't name her Mariah, because it sounds like you want a cute name that you can call out to your little girl. There's no short form for Mariah, it's a nickname-proof name. This will bother you more than him, so put Mariah as middle.

Def go with Mariah because if you go with Cassidy, I'm sure her name will be shortened to "Cassie" and a clever second grader will call her "Cassie gassy", "Cassie sassy" or worse "Cass a**" yes kids learn things fast these days....I know that kids will tease but some names are just asking for it. Since Cassandra can be shortened to "Cassie" you can still have the same problem as Cassidy, so stick with Mariah as a first name.

Of Cassandra and Cassidy i like Cassidy best. I have a niece who is simply just "Kassi" though, so if you like that, why not just name her what you intend to call her? Cassie sounds nice, pretty. Mariah Cassidy has a nice ring to it, although i like Cassidy better as the first name. Good luck!

That is really pretty...Mariah Cassidy....but be aware...I work in a medical field in the hospital and I see many names come through the emergency room and Mariah is popular and so is Cassidy....but I have never seen it together. It is very original in my opinion. I have 4 grown children and I will tell you what my Mom told me....say the name that you want to name your baby like you were shouting it over a loud speaker at a department store or business, with the last name included....will he or she be embarressed by the name? Does it sound good together? If you leave the middle name out, does it fit appropriately professionally? Hope I helped out!!
