I think that I am in love with my gay boss. I think about her all the time, I can't stand it. I dream of her.. I just can't tell her and risk sexual harrassment but I don't know what to do.. She and I are really close, not the close that I want. I think that she cares for me but I don't know.. Anyone have any suggestions? Please be serious no cracks on being gay I don't have time for that crap!

Thanks so much!!

Ok so let me say about the dreams that I have about her. I have all kinds of dreams from sexual dreams in eratic detail to just silly little dreams where she is talking to me and kinda grabs my hand. So the dreams are all different. The last one that I had she invited me to go somewhere with her so that she could spend lots of money on me.. lol.. thanks so far for all the responses!!!

you should leave things as they are for now. if you come on to her then things might go sour.
try flirtingvery lightly with her when you are near her. try and throw slight hints that you are maybe gay and always make her feel comfortable around you.
but the best thing you can do is seem vulnarable to her, tell her that you think you might be gay and that you are not sure what to do, she will sympathise and try and help you out and maybe see you as a possible girlfriend.
just try it, there is a chance it might work and there is a chance it might not but if you dont try you will never know and thats worse than being rejected.

blessed be

First of CaLaCo. She said NO cracks on being gay. Hellas, can't you read???

Second, Congrats to you Itza_Mea. I would invite your boss to an out of work environment get together. Maybe drinks after work? Perhaps a luncheon. Talk to her on a friend base level, all work related things to the side. Also keep in mind, alot of work places don't allow relationships between co-workers. So be careful about opening up right away. Best case scenario eveything works out. Worst case you could end up fired and down on your luck with love... so just be REALLY careful with how strong you come on. I'm sorry this might not help too much but I hope things work out well for you and just remember to look at all of the possible outcomes...

I think you're okay to say hey I'd like to make you dinner.
I think the sexual harassment is more for the boss toward the subordinate employee.
I mean there's nothing wrong with asking someone out even if she's your boss.
If she says no you'll have to accept it.
If she says yes find out if she eats meat unless you already know that and make a meal that is light and refreshing not heavy. Keep it light on the garlic. Have some good wine or mixed drinks (if you both drink). Play it cool and a little coy early on. Be palyful but not vampish. Then after dinner take dessert to the couch and damned the torpedoes full speed ahead. Tell her you are attracted to her. Tell her you would like to kiss her and ask how she would feel about that. Things will take their natural course from there.
Good Luck.

I think that it would be tacky to date your boss even if it were a heterosexual relationship. There is nothing wrong with having feelings, strong feelings for someone of the same sex. First, are you sure that your boss is gay? (Just asking because every woman with short hair that refuses to wear heels is not gay). Second, let's look at the dreams and thoughts that you have about her. Are they just.."She's a wonderful person, I trully admire her" or are they, "I picture she and I frolicking together at a park". Do you know whether or not she is single? Here's what I would do, I'd strike up a conversation. I'd pretend that I didn't know how to do something like use the fax machine or the shredder or something that I know she would know the answer to. I'd come and ask her if she had a moment to show me how to like create a formula in EXCEL or something. Then I would tell her sincerely that I appreciate her as a boss and that you are glad to have an approachable business friendship. Wait and look her str8 in the eyes. If she blushes, she's interested. if she looks at you like you have lost your mind, quit thinking about her. If she blushes wait like a day and strike up another conversation about a television show or favorite place to eat. Learn where she frequents regularly and show up. At least it'll be 'off the clock'. Good luck!

Does she know that you are gay too? Might be an idea to suggest going for a drink after work one evening and see how things develop. You can then sound her out about whether she is single or not and what type of girl she goes for. When you put someone on a pedestal in this way there can often be a bit of a disappointment when you get to know the 'real' person...
If she is half as great as you say she is then I really hope it works out for you.

You and I both know that by not coming to terms with Your desires You are merely causing Yourself far more pain than it is worth. Is She openly Gay, or just seems that way? Are You Gay, or is it just a stage You are going through? Remember that most lesbians are sexual preditors and that if She finds You attractive She will let You know. The next time You two are alone together open a magazine at a page which shows some 'diva' and ask Her Ask "Have You ever kissed another girl"? "Would You like to kiss==== (whoever is on the page)===== If I'm not mistaken She will pick up on Your drift. But please don't go around singing "I kissed a girl". See what Her reaction is to a chance to talk openly with You about a lesbian "interlude". What have You got to loose except a few more nights sleep? One way or the other You will find out. The odds are that if She is going to go 'Girl-Girl" She would prefer it to be with a friend than someone who works for Her, or whom She has picked up for the night. Good luck.

What's wrong isn't that you're both women, it's that she's your boss. She has power over you, and office gossip can make things miserable for the both of you. You can also make things miserable for the office, especially if you have problems in the relationship. So wait until you get promoted to her level or leave the job to do anything about it.

Any other time I would say just go for it but she is your boss. Maybe you can strike up a conversation about dating bosses and employees and see where she stands on it before you hit on her.
