How can he be the first "black" President when he isn't "black"? Does only one half of a person qualify his race? Genetically, he is more white than black, is he not? His ethnic stance doesn't phase me, it is his resume that causes me to question how any one can see him as being qualified for the most important job in the country. We sure don't need another Jimmy Carter!!! And we Damn straight don't need another Clinton. Come on, the Democrat party has got a lot more to offer us than that John F'n Benedict Arnold Kerry. Maybe not from the Senate or even the House, but there are several strong Governors and some Judges out there that have the resumes to get the job done.

I believe Obama is setting himself up for the experience of running. I also think he will show he is a charismatic leader with different ideas, and he could end up becoming the VP nominee for the Democrats. I don't think the Dems could win with Hillary as the presidential nominee, with or without Obama, but I could see Edwards or even Joe Biden winning with Obama. Also, I think McCain will win the Repub nomination. Guiliani has too many "liberal" ideas for the GOP to support him. He's pro-abortion, pro-gay marriage, plus when he was mayor he wanted to kick his wife out of Gracie Mansion & have his mistress move in. Obama is credible and would be a good nominee, and it's not because of his color. I think he'll be the VP nominee.

Wow, there are some sour grapes here! Okay, first and foremost, America has had a "black" president. Obama would be the first admitted "black" president. Second, the president is really a figurehead of a political machine. So as far as experience is concerned, that is a comment to deflect what really bothers people. Can we really say George W. had more experience than VP Gore? Seriously, this country needs a third party and people can discuss issues rather than the race and gender of a candidate.

As cool as the idea sounds, I don't think America is ready for black president. I would have to hear more of his views on issues like Iraq, foreign policy, taxes, immigration, welfare, abortion and etc before I would vote for him. I'm not a racist but more a realist. Even though white folks, especially males, are saying yes" I'll vote for a black guy to be President", I think that when the time comes to pull the lever or push the button, all the negative illusionary images of a black guy in the "white" house will convince them that "white is right".

It's possible, but Barack's got a tough uphill battle to win nomination in his own party. If Hillary runs, then he'll have to contend with the large political muscle that her and Bill Clinton wield. John Edwards has the well-spoken, good-looking guy image going for him as well, (plus he's white). However, Hillary does have Bill's Lewinsky's smell around her as well as her support for the Iraq war. John may get tied again to John Kerry who's been slipping in popularity over the last year. If Barack Obama were to run and win, he would be good President but only if he is committed (i.e. his marriage and parenthood could suffer).

Even though the US Presidency is argubly the most important political position in th world, the President does not have to have a wealth of experience that allows him (and maybe one day her) to govern an entire country. He has a Cabinet as well as other high ranking supporters aiding him in his decision process. I am always amazed that when people talk about Barack Obama, his "lack of experience" is seen as a negative. To be President, one only needs to be intelligent, thoughtful, decisive and committed. If I am a manager for Apple looking for someone to program the new I-Pod/Cell phone, I would want to hire someone with experience. But politics is open enough to have a President who is a peanut farmer, an actor, a lawyer, or a businessman .

Yes, as they say, the liberal press is already marked him as "President". The MSM is so disgusting nowadays.

Osama (CNN Version) and the liberals know that when we elect a black person or woman as President of America,

WE WILL HAVE REACHED THE ZENITH OF OUR POWER! Thus, Osama (CNN Version) wasted no time in signing for his presidential bid.

Remember, most liberals and democrats do not like America and its so-called capitalist system, though they enjoy the immense benefits of it. They do not realize under any other system they welfare free-loading checks will stop cumming.

But that's liberals for you, the scorpion on the toads back swimming across the nile, till it stings the toad and both drown.

I agree, but in Illinois they are trying to get the primary moved to an earlier date so as to help him by showing his home state is behind him. I think it is wrong to do that just for him. I live in Illinois and I would not vote for him.

I think Edwards will be the next president cause Obama don't and will not ever stand a chance of being a president and Hilliary has to many rules and regulations that shes gonna do if she gets in.

I think Obama has the charisma to win the primaries. I'm not detecting that much wide-spread enthusiasm for Edwards, and I think while Hillary could win the Democratic nomination, she wouldn't be able to win the national election.

We'll see.

That is exactly where his election will fizzle. In the Democratic primaries. If he does not make it passed there, is it because of the racism in their own party?
