I am a gay boy who has a crush on another boy but i am not sure if he is gay or not and i was just wondering if anyone had any advice on asking him if he is gay or not or if anyone has any tips on how to ask him.

Are you "out"? Because if you aren't, then there could be not one, but two obstacles to overcome. Although I have no experience with same sex relationships, according to many of my gay friends - just flat out asking is the best way because often it is difficult to determine if someone else is gay (unless they're femme). You don't have anything to lose if you ask, esp if you've been pining over him for a while. You also don't want to always be guessing in the future - so might as well do it! Good luck!

are u openly gay........does he know....do u discuss gay things
do u party with this guy.....or is this a straight crowd hang out situation or a work one
single thing is to ask him....have ever dated a guy
if all this is on the QT......and YOU want to know....YOU have to broker the question....and how you present it determines you future as Friends
you can notice a guy...say he's cute...see what he says
he could be gay...but your not his type.........age, personality, etc
so when you pop the question....give him time to process the information........
think how you would like receive unexpected information.....
do not ask for date at the time you pop question....or pursue it if they do not want to discuss it.......they need time to process the change in the relationship
or get him drunk....real drunk........and go for it...but if he is straight...you lose a friend

if he isn't gay and you ask him straight up...he is gonna be all weirded out and plus he might even be afraid to admit that to you straight up. so i would devise a plan to hang out at one of ur houses or whatever and watch a movie with a good looking dude actor (like brad pitt for example) and bring it up to him that "brad is really good looking" or something like that and start talking about dudes that you think are good looking. if he joins in the convo and says some of the dudes he likes, then he is probably gay. if he is looking at u funny and is making awkward faces at you...then he prob isn't gay. good luck.

Have you tried asking around to see if anybody knows? Maybe his friends?
If not, you could always try the "joke around and see what happens" maneuver?
