you absolutely correct but with all the controversy about the team leaving NJ and the hole thing with his wife his name is bound to come up on the trading headline. It doesn't even make sense, he is such and unbelievable player, and this is one of his best. Even when he doesn't get in the 20 point range he is still dishing out 10-15 assists and pulling in ten rebounds, heck, he doesn't even need points to get a double-double

This might be true, however, the Nets team itself is not in a position to win anything with Nenad Krstic being out. Vince Carter himself has a player option for the end of this year and even with Kidd, the Nets are barely an eighth seed and that's only because of the awful Atlantic Conference. Assuming they lose Kidd this year, Carter will likely pull the same stunt he did last year and opt out of his contract. Assuming Kidd is traded for an expiring contract, the Nets would effectively dump about 35 million dollars of salary. Also, the given divorce case between Kidd and his imbecile for a wife is going to give the Nets a fair amount of trouble.
Being that the Nets are still in the meadowlands, they're losing money. There is absolutely no revenue in the Continental Airlines Arena. Getting rid of Kidd and Carter would at least allow the team to break even over the period of time they remain in Continental. Don't be surprised to see Jefferson shopped, too. The lack of an inside presense is killing the Nets and they're shooting for a run for a top-tier free agent in the upcoming years who will be in his prime come the switch over to Brooklyn. They will not want a washed up Jason Kidd and Vince Carter cementing the move where they'll have to compete with the Knicks. Basically, the whole purpose is to have nearly all the cap space they want when LeBron James, Dwyane Wade, Carmello Anthony, and Chris Bosh become free agents, which is very easy. All they have to do is lose Kidd. Winning now isn't as important to the Nets as winning when they get to their new stadium, and with Kidd's current level of play, his value is at its peak.

Most definitly. J Kidd is the heart and soul of the New Jersey Nets. Vince carter is the backbone of the team. It was quoted in CBS sportsline that the owner of Nets are willing to trade VC for a STRONG Center as well as cash and future draft picks. Then when asked about trading kidd, they asked for, "A Whole Lot More".
New jersey was playing on working with a three team deal, trading J Kidd and VC and NJ will get K Garnett and Ray Allen.
No douby J Kidd is more important because he is the play maker. Without Kidd, Carter would not have that many shots as open as he get them. I have to agree with you 100%.

That's true, but all teams are looking for their future. Kidd is getting older.

Yes he should be, but you can't stop him from going if he wants to get his first ring before he retires and sure he will not achieve it in NJ
