Nick's mom owes me $350 dollars. I lended his mom $350 dollars to help pay for stuff for the new years party. Nick was also their. She told me she would pay me back next week. I have yet to recieve payment for her. I have all the receipts that shows how much I spent. I also have the bank statement that shows how much I spent. The only thing I do not have is a written agreement that she would pay me back. Do I have a legal stand, with no written agreement, or do I just learn my lesson and suck it up. If I can take her to court, how do I go about filing a law suite in small claims court.

Tell your parents and let them help you. That's a lotta money honey. How rotten she would stiff a kid. Have you asked her to pay and what does she say? You did not say how old you are. You can do a small claims filing, but you will have to go online and research how, or go get a book. You should give her 30 days - half of which is gone. You need to tell her you need the money back.

Well the law suit will cost more than you will be aiming to get back, so really its not worth it, you could threaten her by saying you will take her to court and that might scare her into giving the money back, but really she's only a week - 10 days overdue isnt she?? i would juz wait it out for anther week, after that no excuses.

Where you at the party? Any court will just say you assisted in paying for it or that you hosted the party. If you have no proof, give up.

All you can do is take her to small claims court.
