If its something you can read, do so just before you go to bed. It'll be the last thing on your mind and more likely to go into long-term memory storage and therefore more easily recalled later. No method is a 100% sure bet, but that one is especially useful if you are anticipating a test in school or use of that information in a work situation within a short period.

I find that pattern recognition works for me. If you can relate new information to information you already know it is easier to remember. An example is I remember locker combinations by relating the numbers to pro athletes jersey numbers (20-36-5 I would remeber as Dawkins, Westbrook, McNabb).

Hope this helps

Write it down. Record it audibly. Take a picture or capture it via a camcorder. Make some form of record so you can go back and look at whatever it is later.

Flash Cards!!!! with not so much writing and perhaps a little picture to keep in your mind that relates to the writing. Good luck.
But then again it depends on what type of learner you are.

I was told to speak out loud the information that you want to remember. Then say it again in your head. This seems to work for me.
